A tool in the weight loss arsenal

This is definitely a high quality supplement. I love that it is standardized, something I look for in my garcinia supplements. I like to know EXACTLY how much of what is in what I am taking, which I don't think is too much to ask. This one is great. It has a high amount of Garcina Cambogia, and helps quell my appetite so that I can truly take the time to think about what I am eating.

It is really important for me, and I think for others, to think of these pills as a tool and a piece of assistance, rather than a cure all. If I take this pill and do nothing else... well, it may help a bit, at least at first, but my body will adjust and really it doesn't do much. But if I use it as a tool to help me increase my willpower, and I work out and eat healthily, then I will reach my goal. I am not to my goal yet, but I am going to get there. I really love that this supplement is helping me make the right choices.

This supplement hasn't been making me jittery or anything, which is cool, and it doesn't make me starve or anything, I definitely still eat PLENTY, but I don't feel the need to chase the ice cream man down the street, and eat entire pizzas.... Which.. the gamer girl in me appreciates. Also.. my digestive tract appreciates ^_^  I really look forward to seeing my long term progress.

Pur Water Filter Review

Awhile ago we got a Pur Water Filter from Influenster to review. I wanted to give it a little time to see how we enjoyed it before reviewing, because I really wanted to evaluate the quality. Well, the verdict is in! We really love it! This thing is sturdy and does the job, we pretty much only keep a pitcher of water in the fridge to keep it cold, because neither S or I like having ice in our water.

A little about this item, first off, it was EASY to install. Really, I could have done it myself, but I got him to do it. The Pur came with several different gaskets to fit pretty much any faucet, so it was an easy fit, and I am really glad we put it on, because when we took off our faucet nozzle, it was full of grossness, that has been going into our water! I am so glad we are filtering it with Pur now, we had a Brita before, but this is supposedly better. I don't know that I can tell the taste, but it does save space and it is easy to use.

I was worried it would leak because I heard it was an issue with some earlier models, but it hasn't been a problem for us. Also, the indicator light showing me that the filter is still good is pretty awesome!

Basically, being a #watercritic is pretty cool! Thanks @influenster !

Brand Spotlight: Ultimate Smile Inc Face Serums

I got the chance to try a few serums by ultimate smile, It was pretty cool, I got the chance to try three different ones. Hylauronic Acid with Vitamin C, a 20% Vitamin C Serum, and then a 100% Pure Hylauronic Acid Serum.

Obviously, they all did something a little different, and the science behind them is all really interesting. They all centered around two main ingredients. I did a bit of research.

Hylauronic Acid is a gel used to treat facial wrinkles and folds. Its used in skincare and cosmetic surgeries, and assists in preventing moisture loss. It also can reduce inflammation and help your cells communicate, basically. Its very good for your skin, and is very interesting.

Vitamin C is good for your skin because it fights free radicals that age you and assists with the natural production of collogen, which fills lines and wrinkles.

Obviously, these two things can take off years.

I found all three serums to be very similar in texture and scent and feel, really, and I think I would have to use them for more than a week to get any noticeable effect. But I really enjoyed learning about the science behind these serums. Knowing more I can better choose which one is right for me. I have included purchase links below.

Terrified of tanning! Glow2Go Self Tanning Towlettes

Ok. I am very pale skinned and I don't usually care. I really just mind on the rare occasion that I don a bikini and feel reflective, really, and even then, I tend to preach body positivity in a big way.

But hell! How could I turn this down, a chance to look tan and not give myself skin cancer? Sign me up :-) I will admit to being terrified, I never did any tanning as a teenager, not mystic tan or fake tans or baking in the sun or anything, so I truly had no idea what I was doing getting into this. But that said, Glow2Go had a really nice set of instructions for me. They told me to wear gloves THANK YOU (i wouldn't have known that) and the towlettes are individually packed and not messy. They told me to exfoliate well but not shave for 24 hours before hand (can someone tell me why this is?).

Anyway, I followed the directions, and I did pretty well, I will admit it was weird reaching places on my back and making sure everything was evenly covered, but it was also easy to make sure things weren't streaky or weird. I think I did ok for my first time, but probably could have done better with help, and will probably do even better next time. The package has a bunch of individually packed wipes, so I will get a lot of uses out of this. It occurs to me it is also great for travelling to the beach and whatnot, for those of us who like to don spf 85 but still look sun kissed ;-)

All in all, I thought this was a fun thing to try. I didn't end up looking like I belonged on Jersey Shore, so that was a huge plus, and I didn't reflect moonlight either ^_^.
